In most cases, our clients always compare Shacman truck and HOWO truck together. And they are questioning, Shamcan truck and HOWO truck, how to choose?
Saying about the background of the two brands, they have many similarities. For example

1) Shamcan R&D is backgrounded from German MAN since 2000, while HOWO prefer to develop their own technology of main parts from zero.
2) Shamcan has much better ability to integrate supply chain. By over 24 years hard work, they established the very mature supply chain and all parts work well. HOWO is more focused to development their own engine, gearbox and axle. In 2023, due to the demand of the market, HOWO started to turn to Weichai engine as well.
3) Shacman truck is optional with Cummins engine, while HOWO truck has no such option. In some countries, clients are more used to deal with Cummins engine as its unique advantage on working power. Shacman is the only Chinese truck who work with Cummins in the best way.
In many occasions, clients will make decision between HOWO and Shacman. To tell the truth, as the very respected competitor, HOWO is doing excellent in marketing and advertising. In many countries, HOWO and Sinotruk gets superior high market shares. People know HOWO much more than Shacman. Only in very few area like Russia, Algeria, and some South America countries, Shacman manages better than HOWO.
However, if the truck main specification is the same(main specs include truck horsepower, engine brand, gearbox, capacity, load etc) , actually there is very mini difference between howo truck price and shacman truck price.
