Shacman entered the Tajikistan market in 2010 with only a few standard models. At that time, Shaanxi Automobile's market share in Tajikistan's imported heavy-duty truck segment was 20%. Today, this share has increased to 80%, and the models are all high-end, such as the X3000 and X5000.
At the end of January 2023, Shaanxi Automobile's office in Tajikistan received news that the largest hydroelectric power station in Tajikistan had plans to procure vehicles. Consequently, the local Shaanxi Automobile office immediately contacted the company to arrange a visit.
During the first visit to the hydroelectric power station company, they only received the Shaanxi Automobile sales team as a courtesy and did not mention any vehicle procurement plans. Shaanxi Automobile persisted and visited multiple times. After the fifth visit, the company finally expressed interest in purchasing Shaanxi vehicles. The requested vehicle specifications were quite unique, and the delivery schedule was tight. After coordinating through various channels, Shaanxi Automobile decided to take on the order, aiming to establish a good reputation locally. When Shaanxi Automobile delivered the vehicles to the customer, they earned continuous praise for their heavy-duty trucks.
The Central Asian region, led by Tajikistan, is a traditional strong market for Shaanxi Automobile. As of 2024, Shaanxi Automobile's heavy-duty trucks hold a market share of over 40% among Chinese heavy-duty trucks in the five Central Asian countries, making it the top Chinese heavy-duty truck brand in the region.
